Worth noting

• If the baseballs bouncing off various parts of Scottsdale Stadium beyond the outfield fence are any indication, both Angel Pagan and Michael Morse are feeling better heading toward possibly returning to the lineup Thursday. Pagan (back) drew applause from fans gathered for the Giants' workout as well as his teammates when he launched a high shot off the metal covering beyond the elevated right-field fence. Morse kept hitting bombs after the team bus headed to Goodyear, sending several to the edge of the ballpark's confines.

• The Giants were considering playing second baseman Marco Scutaro in a Minor League game on Wednesday's off-day for the rest of the club, but it appears they'll pass on that and try to get him in Thursday's game.

Brandon Hicks continues to rake in Spring Training, crushing a three-run homer and drawing a pair of walks. He's batting .419 with 26 total bases out of 13 hits and a team-high 10 RBIs. "He's been really good on both sides of the ball," Bochy said. "He's been as good as anybody this spring."
