Adrian Beltre is day to day with tightness in his left quad muscle. He took batting practice Friday but did not do any serious running. He is not expected to play in Phoenix on Saturday but could be back on Sunday against the Indians in Surprise.

Matt Harrison threw 47 pitches of live batting practice on Friday and is expected to pitch two innings against the Royals on Monday. It will be the first Cactus League game for Harrison, who missed almost all of last season with a herniated disk in his lower back.

• Pitcher Nate Adcock is recuperating in Texas after undergoing surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome Thursday. Adcock will be out several months after having a rib bone removed from his right shoulder.

• Infielder Jurickson Profar is recovering from oral surgery Thursday to have four wisdom teeth removed. He is expected back in camp in the next day or two.
