Toy plane takes off at Dodger Stadium

LOS ANGELES -- It's not rare to see an occasional beach ball fall onto the field during a game at Dodger Stadium.

A remote-control airplane? That definitely could be filed under unusual.

That's what happened during the top of the sixth inning of the Dodgers' 4-3 win over the D-backs on Tuesday night -- Air Force Night, no less.

Play stopped as the plane took off from the right side of the stadium and glided back and forth through the air.

"That was tight -- I liked that," Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp said. "That stayed in the air for a cool two or three minutes."

The plane eventually nosedived into the fence outside of the D-backs' dugout, and Arizona's Augie Ojeda grabbed the plane and rippied it in two -- much to the dismay of the crowd.

"Only in Hollywood," Ojeda said. "It's the first time I've ever seen that. It landed right next to me, so I figured I would put it to an end."
