MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twins announced their 2014 Spring Training schedule and ticket information at renovated Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers, Fla., on Friday.
Twins pitchers and catchers are set to report on Feb. 16, with their first workout scheduled for Feb. 17. The rest of the team is slated to report on Feb. 21, with full-squad workouts starting on Feb. 22.
The Twins are scheduled to open Grapefruit League play against the Red Sox on Feb. 28 at JetBlue Park before hosting their home opener at Hammond Stadium against Boston on March 1.
The Twins' schedule includes 31 games, with 16 at home and 15 on the road. Highlights include two more games against the World Series champion Red Sox on March 13 and March 28; a visit by the NL champion Cardinals on March 6; a visit by the NL Wild Card Pirates on March 12; visits by the AL Wild Card Rays on March 18 and March 24 and a visit by the Yankees on March 22.
It'll be the first year featuring renovated Hammond Stadium, which is currently undergoing a facelift to include a 360-degree boardwalk and outfield concourse, new berm seating in left field and an expanded seating capacity.
Single-game tickets go on sale on Jan. 11 and can be purchased at twinsbaseball.com, by calling 1-800-33-TWINS (800-338-9467) and by visiting the Hammond Stadium box office in Fort Myers or the Target Field box office in Minneapolis. Single-game ticket prices range from $12-$43.
