John Hirschbeck will serve as crew chief for the 2013 World Series, which begins Wednesday night in Boston with Game 1 in Fenway Park at 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX.

Hirschbeck, who has more than 30 years of Major League experience, will be joined by fellow regular-season crew chiefs Dana DeMuth and Jim Joyce, along with umpires Paul Emmel, Bill Miller and Mark Wegner.

All six umpires worked this year's Division Series round.

The 109th World Series marks Hirschbeck's fourth Fall Classic (1995, 2006, 2010) and is the fifth for DeMuth ('93, '98, '01, '09), tying him with Gerry Davis and Joe West for the most World Series worked among active staff.

This is Joyce's third career World Series (1999, 2001) and Miller's second (2010). It is a first for Emmel and Wegner.

The crew will continue to wear patches with the initials "WB," honoring 21-year Major League umpire Wally Bell, who died Oct. 14.
