Mary J. Blige to Perform National Anthem Prior to Game 1 of World Series


Iconic Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, actress and philanthropist Mary J. Blige will perform the National Anthem prior to Game One of the 2013 World Series on Wednesday, October 23rd airing on FOX at 7:30PM Eastern. Game One will take place at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, as they take on the St. Louis Cardinals.

Mary J. Blige, who previously performed the National Anthem at Yankee Stadium during the 2009 World Series, recently released her first-ever holiday album, A Mary Christmas, with legendary producer David Foster. Blige has sold over 50 million records with a track record that includes eight multi-platinum albums, nine Grammy Awards (plus 29 nominations) and four American Music Awards. A Mary Christmas is Blige's 11th studio album.
