Dodgers top prospect Joc Pederson homered, stole a base and scored three times to key Lara's 11-hit attack and lead the Cardenales to their first win. Venezuelan Jairo Perez went 2-for-5 with two homers and four RBIs for Lara. Box score

Aragua got five runs in the first inning and four in the seventh and held on to beat Caracas, 9-8, to move to 3-0 on the season. Phillies farmhand Jim Murphy was 3-for-4 with a homer and four RBIs. Indians No. 17 prospect Jesus Aguilar was 2-for-3 with two walks and two RBIs for Caracas and is 7-for-10 over the first three games of the season. Box score

Aguilas del Zulia racked up 15 hits, including three by D-backs Minor League outfielder Ender Inciarte, who also scored three times, to beat Magallanes, 12-3. Reds Minor Leaguer Felix Perez and Giants farmhand Mark Minicozzi each went deep for Zulia, who moved to 2-1 on the season. Six Caribes players drove in at least one run and seven different players scored, as Anzoategui topped Margarita, 8-6. Longtime Yankees Minor Leaguer Jose Gil and former Braves Draft pick Cory Aldrige each went 3-for-4 for Caribes, while Giants prospect Adam Duvall doubled, homered and drove in three runs in a losing cause. Former Padres, Phillies and Mets farmhand Brian Burgamy had a pair of doubles and an RBI, and Saul Soto belted a two-run homer to lead Los Mochis over Guasave in each team's season opener. Box score

Culiacan 3, Mazatlan 1
Veteran Mexican League All-Star Francisco Campos picked up his first win of the 2013 Mexican Pacific League season, leading Culiacan over Mazatlan. The 40-year-old right-hander allowed one run on five hits over 5 1/3 innings. Box score

Mexicali 7, Obregon 5
Mexicali got two runs in the sixth inning, one in the seventh and four in the eighth to rally past Obregon and move to 2-0 on the season. Kevin Kouzmanoff was 2-for-4 to pace the Aguilas, and Jeremy Accardo picked up the save.  Box score
