Breaking the Game Open: Harrisburg infielder Matthew Davis broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring triple. Davis also scored a run, walked and stole a base. Harrisburg never trailed after that.
Shut-down arms: Harrisburg pitchers Ricky Bettinger, Dakota Pentz and Sadiq Burkholder pitched a gem in the team's opening game, striking out eight Detroit batters and walking one.
