Lidge, who is on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained right knee, was relieved by left-hander Joe Savery to begin the second inning. Lidge is scheduled for his second rehab appearance Tuesday for Class A Clearwater. Beyond that, the Phillies could determine that he needs at least one more stint before rejoining the club.
"I felt really good," Lidge said of his one inning of work Saturday. "I felt I could push off my back leg."
Lidge went 0-3 with a 7.27 ERA and 13 saves in 19 opportunities before the Phillies placed him on the DL. He is eligible to be activated on Tuesday.
"I want to be in there," Lidge said. "I don't want guys to be tired because I'm not in there."
