Details for fans with tickets attending Major League Baseball's All-Star Charity Concert featuring The New York Philharmonic and special guest Mariah Carey are now available.
Beginning at 3:00 p.m. ET (time is subject to change), fans that have tickets can enter on West 72nd street and Central Park West or East 72nd street and 5th avenue. All visitors will be screened at security checkpoints before entering Concert grounds. No backpacks, alcohol, glass or metal containers, pets or blankets are permitted. Fans are encouraged to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated. A full list of prohibited and acceptable items is available at AllStarGame.com/Concert.
A special fireworks show will light up the sky immediately following the Concert. In addition, Union Square Hospitality Group will provide baseball-themed food including hot dogs, Crackerjacks and more at the concession stands.
MLB is working with the Natural Resources Defense Council to encourage recycling and promote sustainability throughout All-Star Week. All-Star Green Teams, groups of volunteers collecting recyclables, will be circulating starting prior to the concert and continuing through the conclusion of the fireworks show.
The New York Philharmonic, led by Music Director Alan Gilbert, will perform two sets of New York and baseball-themed music. Special guest Mariah Carey will join the New York Philharmonic to perform a select number of her all-time classic hits mixed with tracks off of her new album.
In addition, Joe Torre will make a special appearance and read the classic baseball poem "Casey At the Bat," which was written by Ernest Thayer 125-years ago.
All general admission tickets to the All-Star Charity Concert were claimed just hours after becoming available to the public.
In conjunction with the concert, Major League Baseball will make more than $1 million donation for Sandy Relief efforts, specifically to the Robin Hood Foundation's Sandy Relief Fund and Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City. Concert is subject to weather conditions.
