Hall of Famers, Mets legends highlight FanFest lineup


Nine Hall of Famers, numerous Mets legends and other former Major League stars will make appearances at T-Mobile All-Star FanFest from July 12-16 at the Jacob K. Javits Center.

With the price of FanFest admission, fans will have the opportunity to receive autographs and take part in question-and-answer sessions and children's clinics with the former players.

Among the Hall of Famers expected to attend are Lou Brock, Orlando Cepeda, Andre Dawson, Rollie Fingers, Ferguson Jenkins, Juan Marichal, Phil Niekro, Gaylord Perry and Ozzie Smith.

Numerous former Mets also are scheduled to make appearances, including members of the 1969 and '86 World Series champions. Those include Ed Charles, Bud Harrelson, Cleon Jones, Ed Kranepool, Amos Otis, Joe Pignatano, Art Shamsky, Sid Fernandez, George Foster, Dwight Gooden, Howard Johnson, Barry Lyons, Kevin Mitchell, Jesse Orosco, Rafael Santana, Darryl Strawberry, Tim Teufel and Mookie Wilson.

Former Negro Leagues players Dale Miller, Jim Robinson, Bob Scott and Pedro Sierra also will appear.

FanFest tickets are $35 for adults and $30 for children ages 12 and under, senior citizens and military personnel. Children two years of age and under are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased onsite or at AllStarGame.com, Mets.com the Citi Field Box Office or by calling 1-888-FanFest (326-3378).

A number of ticket specials are being offered, including 'Buy One Get One Free Friday,' 'Two for Tuesday,' and a FanFest Family Pack. Details on ticket offers can be found at AllStarGame.com/FanFest.
