• The Rangers have a .301 slugging percentage in the first inning, the lowest in the Majors this season. They're hitting .211 with a .281 on-base percentage in the first frame.

• Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito threw out the first pitch on Wednesday. Alito was nominated by President George W. Bush to replace Justice Sandra Day O'Connor in 2005 and sworn in on Jan. 31, 2006.
