Matt Kemp continues to impress and inspire. Known primarily as a power hitter, Kemp has had a disappointing season so far with the long ball. Before tonight he had hit only one home run this season. Something like this seemed very tragic to Dodger fans as the Dodgers continue to struggle. Then real tragedy struck and reminded us all what truly matters in the grand scheme of things. A massive tornado struck Oklahoma on Monday, destroying property and devastating families. More specifically, a massive tornado struck Matt Kemp’s hometown on Monday. But something else also happened. Matt Kemp hit his second home run on Monday. Who cares, right? Well not missing a beat, Kemp once again showed us why he’s the man so many look up to.
I'm giving $1000 for tonight's HR and every HR until the All-Star break for the victims of my hometown in OKC. #PrayforOklahoma

Matt Kemp has vowed to donate $1,000 for Monday’s home run and every other homerun that’s hit until July 15.
Matt Kemp is pure class. Here’s hoping there’s a record number of homers hit in the next two months.
