"It's got a lot of different meanings coming here," Polamalu said. "Obviously supporting the [Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities] foundation and the 'Season of the Whiff' with Head & Shoulders, but I was born and raised right down the street from here. Just coming here -- I think I've been to one game, when I was a little child -- it's pretty awesome. It's surreal for me to throw the first pitch."
Wilson's campaign aims to help inner city baseball programs around the country.
For each strikeout during the 2013 regular season, Head & Shoulders will donate $1 to the RBI Foundation.
"This has a great meaning," Polamalu said. "To be able to come here -- my family's here -- and of course supporting C.J., the RBI Foundation and the local community here, it is a great experience."
