Worth noting

• The White Sox will open a two-game series against the Mets on Tuesday night at Citi Field, which will mark a homecoming of sorts for Chicago manager Robin Ventura, who played for the Mets from 1999-2001.

"For me, it was a great time," Ventura said. "My family enjoyed being there. The Mets were very good to me. Going back, you see a lot of people that you are friends with and happy to see."

Ventura made postseason appearances with the Mets in 1999 and 2000.
