Bryan Baseball Association to host field dedication ceremony

WHAT: The Bryan Baseball Association will hold a field dedication ceremony at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, December 10 celebrate the construction of the provided a grant in the amount of $75,000 to help finance the construction of the facility.

DETAILS: The construction of the David Betts Double Play Diamond includes a synthetic turf baseball infield, 14 retractable batting cages, four portable mounds, four softball pitching mats and various training equipment. The facility will provide more than 600 boys and girls the opportunity to play and practice baseball and softball year-round. The facility was named in honor of Bluffton University baseball team member, David Betts, who was tragically killed in a bus accident in 2007.
NOTE: On Friday, December 28, Matt Wisler will return to the facility, along with Bryan natives Chris Carpenter of the Boston Red Sox and Red Sox Minor League player Kolbrin Vitek to host Christmas themed baseball clinic for Bryan area youth, ages 8-11.
