Worth noting

• The Rangers and the Cubs are off on Monday during Major League Baseball's celebration of Jackie Robinson Day. The two teams meet Tuesday, and during that game players will wear No. 42 in honor of the late Dodgers infielder.

• After all the Spring Training concern about the bullpen, Rangers relievers had a 2.70 ERA through the first 10 games, third-best in the American League. Robbie Ross has not let any of his eight inherited runners score.

• A.J. Pierzynski's home run on Friday was the 20th given up by Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez in 35 career starts against the Rangers. But 14 of them have come in 19 games at Safeco, while six came in his 16 starts at the Ballpark in Arlington.
