The Report is bat-heavy with the prepsters as well, taking a look at two Florida shortstops and a Texas outfielder. We didn't want to leave pitching out of it completely. The state of Missouri seems to have good talent every year (Tim Melville last year, for example), so we wanted to make sure we hit the guy considered to be the best arm from the Show-Me State.
Of course, Stephen Strasburg has been showing us how it's done all season. As is tradition, a quick look at what the San Diego State ace is up to these days:
Last outing: April 9
Result: 15-4 win
Game stats: 6 IP, 7 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 13 K
Season stats: 7-0, 54 1/3 IP, 34 H, 9 ER, 11 BB, 107 K, .177 BAA, 1.49 ERA
Now, on to the reports ...

The Mizzou Catcher
Trevor Coleman, C

The Tigers backstop undoubtedly has been seen many times, with scouts coming in to watching ace Kyle Gibson and getting the bonus of catching Coleman. He's struggled offensively, hitting .233 over 38 games with five homers and 22 RBIs. Complete Report
The high School Ranks
Nick Franklin, SS
Lake Brantley HS, Altamonte Springs, Fla.
A solid prep shortstop from the Orlando area, Franklin went 1-for-3 in a March loss to Lake Mary. He brings solid tools and good baseball acumen to the middle of the infield. Complete Report
Mychal Givens, SS
H.B. Plant HS, Tampa, Fla.
A talented two-way player, he's hit .439 with 11 steals over 21 games. In a game earlier this season against Tampa's Jefferson High School, Givens went 1-for-2 with a run scored, an RBI and a stolen bases in four plate appearances during a 13-1 victory. Complete Report
Todd Glaesmann, OF
Midway HS, Waco, Texas
In a good matchup against Waxahachie High School and pitching prospect Colton Cain, Glaesmann led his squad to a 5-4 victory. There's nothing better than a good Texas high school rivalry to get a good look at a player. The outfielder tripled to tie the score in the seventh and went on to score the winning run. He's hit .405 with eight homers and 30 RBIs through April 14. Complete Report
