Cruz to report to Rangers on Friday

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- General manager Jon Daniels said the Rangers expect outfielder Nelson Cruz to be in camp on Friday when position players are scheduled to report.

The Rangers have acknowledged Cruz is part of an MLB investigation into a Miami wellness clinic that allegedly sold performance-enhancing drugs. Cruz is one of the players who has been linked to the clinic as a possible customer.

But Daniels said the Rangers have heard very little from MLB on the subject.

"It's my sense that it's not something we'll hear about until something actually happens," Daniels said. "We have no other choice but to act as business as usual."
