SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Josh Hamilton's life story is going prime time on MLB Network. "Josh Hamilton: Resurrecting the Dream," an original documentary produced by MLB Network, will be broadcast at 8 p.m. CT on Friday. The film documents Hamilton's life history through interviews with him, close friends and family, looking at his rise to fame in North Carolina, his descent into drug and alcohol problems that removed him from the game for 3 1/2 years to his personal recovery and triumphant 2008 season with the Rangers.
"It tells the whole story of my life so that people who haven't heard it can hear it for the first time," Hamilton said. The documentary includes passages from his autobiography "Beyond Belief," which was published last winter.
