Astros visit with local firefighters

Houston, TX – Earlier today, four Houston Astros players visited local fire stations to thank firefighters for their service in recognition of September 11th. The players “adopted” the firehouse that corresponds with their uniform number and presented the firefighters with an autographed, framed jersey. Chick-fil-A provided lunch at each firehouse.  Established in 2009, Astros players have now “adopted” 23 fire stations through the Adopt-A-Firehouse program.
