The Storm Chasers let a 3-0 lead slip away as they dropped to 1-1 in the American Conference Championship Series. Ryan Verdugo (6 1/3 innings, seven hits, four earned runs, two walks, nine strikeouts) took a shutout into the sixth. Max Ramirez hit a 2-run homer for Omaha. The remaining games will be played in New Mexico. Nate Adcock will start tonight, followed by Doug Davis on Saturday.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (37-33 in second half, 66-74 overall, Second-Half Division Champions)

Wilmington 12, Lynchburg 3 -- Series tied 1-1

Wilmington's offense came alive with 12 runs to tie the best-of-three playoff series at one game apiece. The Rocks had been blanked in their previous three contests. Matt Fields gave Wilmington a 4-1 lead with a three-run homer in the third. Lane Adams, Geulin Beltre and Cheslor Cuthbert posted three hits each. Blue Valley Northwest product Jason Adam limited Lynchburg to two runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks over seven innings pitched. Leondy Perez is scheduled to start tonight's deciding game.

Idaho Falls Chukars (18-20 in second half, 35-41 overall, Season Complete)

Orem 15, Idaho Falls 3

HR: Jared Schlehuber (5), Nick DelGuidice (3)

Idaho Falls ended the season with a lopsided loss to Orem. John Lamb continued his recovery from Tommy John surgery, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks through 3 1/3 innings pitched. Jared Schlehuber and Nick DelGuidice hit solo shots for the Chukars. Schlehuber batted .344 (11-for-32) with three home runs over his last 10 games.
