Though Joaquin Arias started at shortstop Friday, Giants manager Bruce Bochy reiterated that left field still could be an option for the hot-hitting right-handed batter, who played one game in the outfield for the Mets in 2010. Arias entered Friday batting a Major League-high .429 in August.
