Nats ink Towers to Minor League deal

WASHINGTON -- The Nationals signed right-hander Josh Towers to a Minor League contract with an invitation to Spring Training.

Towers spent entire 2008 season with Triple-A Colorado Springs and went 6-7 with a 6.27 ERA in 31 games.

Towers, 31, has spent seven years in the big leagues and pitched for the Orioles and Blue Jays during that period. He is 45-55 with a 4.96 ERA during his career.
