Skaggs, who was named a Southern League midseason All-Star in 2012, was originally selected by the Angels in the supplemental first round (40th overall) in 2009 First-Year Player Draft.

He will wear No. 37 and make his Major League debut in the first game of today’s split doubleheader.

By rule, he will be optioned back to Reno following the conclusion of the doubleheader.
