LAS VEGAS -- The Tigers' one-year deal with Adam Everett remained an agreement Tuesday rather than an official announcement, still pending a physical.
Everett is expected to be examined Wednesday. Though he missed a good portion of last season with a shoulder injury, the physical is expected to be a formality. Everett worked out Tuesday for coach Gene Lamont and team officials at their Spring Training facility in Lakeland, Fla., and as team president/general manager Dave Dombrowski put it, "We liked what we saw."
The Tigers and Everett agreed to terms on a one-year contract Monday, according to industry sources. The deal is reportedly worth $1 million plus incentives. An unrelated issue supposedly pushed back the exam.
