The Rockies reinstated outfielder Michael Cuddyer from the 15-day disabled list Thursday, optioning first baseman Matt McBride to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Cuddyer will be active for Thursday's game against the Marlins.
Cuddyer missed 11 games while on the disabled list with a strained right oblique. The 33-year-old played in two games during a rehab assignment at Colorado Springs, going 6-for-9 with a double and home run.
Cuddyer is batting .260 with 15 homers and 56 RBIs in his first season with the Rockies. His 30 doubles are tied for seventh most in the National League.
McBride, 27, made his Major League debut on August 4, and hit .200 with a double and two RBIs in nine games.
