Strained hamstring sends Saito to disabled list
The D-backs placed reliever Takashi Saito on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring on Tuesday. Arizona recalled southpaw Mike Zagurski from Triple-A Reno to take Saito's roster spot.

Saito has compiled a 6.14 ERA in 10 appearances with the D-backs this season. The 42-year-old, who was a National League All-Star in 2007, holds a 2.27 ERA in seven big league seasons with the Dodgers, Red Sox, Braves, Brewers and D-backs.

Zagurski posted a 6.18 ERA in 27 2/3 innings out of Arizona's bullpen this season before being designated for assignment on Saturday. He was outrighted to Reno on Monday.

Since Zagurski is replacing an injured player, the club does not have to wait the mandated 10 days to recall him from the Minors.
