Aramis Ramirez was out of the Brewers' starting lineup for the second straight game, after receiving a cortisone injection on Thursday for a sore left wrist. Roenicke said Ramirez will take swings during Saturday's game and if his wrist feels OK, he would be available to pinch-hit.
Reliever Manny Parra played catch on Saturday for the first time in more than a week while recovering from a left shoulder impingement. Roenicke said Parra threw at a distance of about 60-70 feet, and will lengthen that distance and throw again on Sunday.
Nyjer Morgan batted second and started in right field on Saturday. Morgan entered the game a career .471 hitter in 17 at-bats against St. Louis starter Adam Wainwright. Roenicke said that Morgan will likely start on Sunday, as well, considering Morgan's success against Sunday's starter Kyle Lohse. Morgan is 4-for-11 lifetime against Lohse.
