• Jordan Zimmermann had his throw day on Thursday, and manager Davey Johnson said the right-hander "felt great." Zimmermann was initially slated to pitch in Friday's doubleheader with the Marlins, but was pushed back a day due to lingering soreness while getting ready and some minor inflammation in his right shoulder. Zimmermann will start Saturday against the Marlins

• Chein-Ming Wang pitched 6 2/3 innings in a rehab start with Double-A Harrisburg on Thursday night, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out two and walking one. Wang threw 99 pitches, 65 for strikes, and allowed a solo home run in the third inning.

• Michael Morse dealt with a stomach virus on Thursday, preventing him from eating adequately into Friday. As a result, he was held out of the first game of Friday's doubleheader with the Marlins. Bryce Harper also sat out the opener, but both will play in the second game.
