Mike Lieberthal caught the most games in Phillies history, had the most hits and homers among their catchers and will be the 2012 inductee into the Toyota Wall of Fame on Friday night, Aug. 10. Festivities begin at 7:30 p.m. ET, with the game against the Cardinals to follow.
The Phillies began the Wall of Fame in 1978, honoring former players with the Phillies and A's. When Citizens Bank Park was opened in 2004, the Wall of Fame was limited to Phillies greats.
Among the Phillies Wall of Famers who will be on hand to welcome Lieby are Steve Carlton (1989), Mike Schmidt ('90), Larry Bowa ('91), Dick Allen ('94), Greg Luzinski ('98), Garry Maddox (2001), Tony Taylor ('02), Bob Boone ('05), Dallas Green ('06), Juan Samuel ('08), Darren Daulton ('10) and John Kruk ('11).
Fans will receive a commemorative print of Lieberthal, courtesy of Toyota.

Frick Award for broadcasting excellence in Cooperstown on July 21, will throw out the ceremonial first ball. "Ceremonial catcher and umpire" are surprises.
