BOSTON, MA – The 21st annual Red Sox wives Can and Cash Drive will take place this Friday, July 20, and Saturday, July 21 at Fenway Park.
Fans who are interested making a donation to help the Greater Boston Food Bank fight hunger are asked to bring canned food items, or to make a cash donation at any of the Fenway Park gates.
Beginning 2 hours prior to game time, and through the second inning of the game, the Red Sox wives will give an autographed picture of a Red Sox player (while supplies last) to fans that bring $10 in cash or 10 non-perishable food items. Canned food items such as tuna fish, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, red and brown beans, and juice boxes are preferred. The Red Sox wives will be on hand to greet fans and receive the donations.
In total, this summer tradition has raised more than $216,000 in cash donations and collected more than 61,000 pounds of food.
