D-backs recall Albaladejo from Reno, option Bauer to Reno

PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks today announced they have recalled right-handed pitcher Jonathan Albaladejo from Triple-A Reno and optioned right-handed pitcher Trevor Bauer to Reno.

Albaladejo, 29, ranks second in the Pacific Coast League with 17 saves and is 3-1 with a 3.35 ERA (14 ER in 37.2 IP) and 39 strikeouts in 35 relief appearances with the Aces in 2012.

Albaladejo has made 2 appearances with the D-backs this season, posting a 9.00 ERA (2 ER in 2.0 IP). He is 6-3 with a 4.28 ERA (36 ER in 75.2 IP) in 65 Major League outings with the Nationals (2007), Yankees (2008-10) and D-backs (2012).

Bauer, 21, went 1-2 with a 6.06 ERA (11 ER in 16.1 IP) in 4 starts with the D-backs this season. He suffered the loss last night at Reds, allowing 4 runs (3 earned) on 1 hit over 3.0 innings pitched.
