Omaha Storm Chasers (56-32)

The Storm Chasers won a second straight at Iowa. Verdugo tossed six scoreless innings, scattering four hits and two walks while recording six strikeouts. Jeremy Jeffress (two innings, two hits) and Brandon Sisk (one inning, one walk) completed the shutout. Lough started the scoring with a solo blast in the second. Johnny Giavotella singled home a pair in the seventh.

NW Arkansas Naturals (4-9 in second half, 41-42 overall)

The Naturals lost in their return to Springdale. Arguelles was charged with five runs on six hits and three walks over five innings. Alex McClure recorded three hits and an RBI. He is batting .324 (12-for-37) since joining the Naturals. Brian Fletcher and Mario Lisson added two hits apiece.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (6-9 in second half, 35-50 overall)

Wilmington scored six in the seventh to take a 9-8 lead, only to see Lynchburg rally with two in the home half. Eibner went 3-for-5 with three RBIs, finishing a triple shy of the cycle. Yordano Ventura had a rare rough outing, allowing six runs (five earned) on seven hits and a walk over 2.2 IP. Fields hit his fourth homer in five games. He reached five times with two hits and three walks.

Kane County Cougars (9-5 in second half, 43-41 overall)

Kane County broke a 2-2 tie with a six-run fifth en route to a 9-2 win. Antonio capped the inning with a two-run homer. Trapp was 3-for-4 with a solo home run. Brooks limited the River Bandits to two runs on eight hits and a walk over seven innings.

Idaho Falls Chukars (9-9)

Grand Junction 4, Idaho Falls 1

HR: None

Idaho Falls dropped to .500 with an opening loss at Grand Junction. Williams fanned seven while yielding three runs on five hits and a walk over five innings. Ysmelin Alcantara drove in the lone Idaho Falls run on a force out.

Burlington Royals (10-7)

Burlington 8, Bristol 7
WP: John Walter (3-0)
HR: Kenny Diekroeger (four), Henry Moreno (two)

Alex Marquez singled home Humberto Arteaga as Burlington walked off with a win. The B-Royals scored four in the eighth to tie the game. Beau Maggi tripled home a pair and Moreno followed with a two-run blast. Walter fanned the side in the ninth.

Surprise Royals (5-7)

Surprise scored four in the fourth on their way to a home win. Mauricio Ramos recorded two hits and a run. Nina pitched five innings without a hit allowed, though he permitted a pair of unearned runs in his final frame.
