Fans invited to join Season Ticket Holder family, secure Postseason rights
The first-place Dodgers, who have sat atop the NL West standings for the majority of the 2012 season, announced Friday that a limited number of season-ticket plans with full postseason rights remain available for purchase now through the end of July. Season-ticket options, one of the best values in Los Angeles and all of sports, include seats in between the bases for just $10 each.
"It's been a thrilling first half of the 2012 season," said Dodgers President and CEO Stan Kasten, "and we want to ensure Dodgers' fans are not shut out of possible postseason play. Ticket sales have been very strong. We are averaging 5,000 more fans per game over last season and we are close to selling our three-millionth ticket. We now have our greatest season-ticket holder fan base since 2007 and we're approaching season-seat levels unseen since 1988, the Dodgers' last championship year."
The Dodgers began offering lower pricing and new benefits for season-ticket holders prior to the start of the 2012 season. Ticket prices were reduced by as much as $20 last spring and new ownership has honored that reduction.
Fans that purchase season tickets in July are guaranteed full postseason rights and will also secure access to new benefits introduced last spring that distinguish the Dodgers' season seat holder fan experience and include incentives such as access to parking and entry at Dodger Stadium one hour before it opens to the public, access to Dodger batting practice and the opportunity to play catch on the field with their guests after select games.
