Braves encourage fans to "Vote Chipper" or "Vote Bourn"

The Atlanta Braves are calling on fans to vote for Chipper Jones or Michael Bourn in the 2012 All-Star Game Final Vote sponsored by Firestone.  The Braves players are two of five National League players vying for the final roster spot on the N.L. All-Star team, which will face off against the American League All-Stars at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri on Tuesday, July 10.

Braves fans can cast an unlimited number of votes for Chipper and Bourn both online and via text.  Voting ends Thursday, July 5 at 3 p.m.

In addition to the web, fans can use their mobile phones to cast votes via the mobile web at or via text message.  Vote for Chipper on your mobile device by texting N5 to 89269To vote for Bourn, text N1 to 89269.  Message and data rates may apply.


Fans may use the Twitter hashtags #VoteChippper and #VoteBourn to spread the word and show your support for Bourn and Jones. 


The Braves have joined forces with the Kansas City Royals in the All-Star Game Final Vote push.  Braves fans are encouraged to vote for Royals right-handed pitcher Jonathan Broxton to fill the remaining American League roster spot. 

Broxton, a Georgia native has a 1-1 record with a 2.05 ERA and 20 saves, fourth-most in the American League. 

The winner, chosen exclusively by online fan voting totals, will be announced on shortly after voting concludes on Thursday.
