OMAHA -- Wednesday's College World Series game between No. 8 South Carolina and Kent State was postponed due to inclement weather and will be played at noon ET on Thursday.
The winner of the elimination game faces Arkansas at 9 p.m. ET.
"I don't think it matters," South Carolina head coach Ray Tanner said of potentially playing two games in one day. "[Kent State head coach Scott] Stricklin and I were very comfortable that this was the best decision we could make. Whoever wins the game will have a little momentum heading into the night game."
The postponement makes Thursday at triple-header at TD Ameritrade Park. Arizona and No. 3 Florida State play at 5 p.m. ET.
All games will be televised on ESPN2.
