Twins to recall Liam Hendriks

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced tonight that they will recall right-handed pitcher Liam Hendriks from Triple-A Rochester prior to tomorrow’s game with the Brewers.  In seven starts for the Red Wings this season, Hendriks went 5-0, 1.94 ERA (46.1 ip, 10 er) with 13 walks, 42 strikeouts and one complete game for the Red Wings.  He made four starts for the Twins earlier this season, going 0-2, 9.00 ERA (18.0 ip, 18 er).

To make room for Hendriks on the 25-man roster, the Twins optioned right-handed pitcher Lester Oliveros to Triple-A Rochester.
