Omaha's contest in the Music City was postponed due to rain. A doubleheader is slated for Saturday, with the first game to start at 5:05 Central. Everett Teaford will start game one, with fellow lefty Will Smith scheduled for game two.

Northwest Arkansas dropped to 1-1 at Springfield. Justin Marks struck out seven while allowing three runs on six hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. Nick Van Stratten and John Whittleman scored runs for the Naturals, who were 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position.

All of the scoring in Friday's contest at Frawley Stadium came in the seventh inning, with Wilmington falling short. Juan Graterol was 4-for-4 with the lone run for Wilmington.

Kane County fell to .500 on the year after an opening loss vs. Cedar Rapids. The Cougars made five errors on the night, contributing to two unearned runs. Starter Andrew Ferguson allowed three runs (one earned) on eight hits and a walk over 5.1 innings. Michael Antonio, Orlando Calixte, Alex Llanos and Murray Watts recorded hits for Kane County.
