Pitcher: LHS Mario Hollands, Clearwater. Was 1-0, winning 3-2 on Thursday at St. Lucie, 2 runs (1 earned), 3 hits, 2 strikeouts for 6 innings. Began season with Lakewood, 0-1 for 9 games (2 starts) when moved up to be in the Threshers' rotation. Won first start at Clearwater on June 2, tossing 5 hitless innings. In 2 starts, 11 innings 3 hits, 1 walk, 7 strikeouts. The 22-year-old was selected in the 10th round in 2010 out of UC Santa Barbara and signed by Shane Bowers.

Player: INF Kevin Fransden, Lehigh Valley. Hit .462 with an organization-high 12 hits, including 3 doubles. Scored 5 and drove in 4. Boosted average from .253 to .277.
