HR: Wil Myers (9, 22 overall)

Wil Myers broke a 7-7 tie with a two-run homer in the ninth as Omaha won a sixth straight. Myers has 22 combined home runs with Northwest Arkansas and Omaha, tying him for second in the minor leagues with Iowa's Anthony Rizzo, who hit two on the night. Salvador Perez finished 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI, boosting his average to .455 (10-for-22) in five rehab games. Chris Getz added two hits, two RBI and a run, bringing his average to .421 (8-for-19). The series continues this afternoon.

Northwest Arkansas lost a second straight to fall a game behind Tulsa in the first-half race. Tulsa's Edwar Cabrera retired the first 12 batters. He held the Naturals to a lone hit over 7.0 innings, a single by Yem Prades in the sixth. Christian Colon added a base hit in the ninth. Elisaul Pimentel (4.0 IP, 8 H, 5 ER, 4 ER, 1 BB, 2 SO) suffered the defeat.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (28-36)

HR: None

Wilmington was blanked on three hits for a second straight day, this time at home by Salem. The Blue Rocks have been held to three runs or less in 17 of their last 19 contests. Tyler Sample allowed six runs (four earned) on four hits and five walks over 4.1 IP. Cheslor Cuthbert, Brian Fletcher and Whit Merrifield recorded singles for Wilmington.

The Cougars suffered a series sweep as they dropped a back-and-forth contest at Peoria. Jorge Bonifacio led the offense, going 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and four RBI. Yowill Espinal and Tim Ferguson recorded two RBI apiece. Jonathan Dooley (3.2 IP) took the loss after his throwing error led to an unearned run in the ninth.
