DENVER -- Peter Bourjos was a staple in the Angels outfield last season, starting 138 games. But this year he's been relegated to defensive replacement with the addition of one of the few players actually faster than him -- rookie Mike Trout.
With both Kendrys Morales and Albert Pujols in the infield this weekend against the Rockies, Mark Trumbo started in left field. If the Angels jump out to a lead, manager Mike Scioscia hinted Bourjos would see time as a defensive replacement.
"There's more outfield grass [at Coors Field], for sure," he said. "There are probably some things we'll look at later in the game. We should have enough range in the outfield, and we'll get more range later in the game."
