SAN DIEGO -- Giants left fielder Melky Cabrera felt tightness in his right hamstring after stealing second base in the seventh inning of Thursday's 8-3 victory over the Padres, prompting manager Bruce Bochy to remove him from the game one inning later.

"We're just being cautious," Bochy said, indicating that Cabrera's ailment isn't serious.

Cabrera, who's batting .364 to lead the National League, went 1-for-4 and scored twice.
