Players of the Week
Pitcher: RHP Tyson Brummett, Lehigh Valley. Relieved 3 times, 1-0, 0.00, 5.1 innings, 2 hits, 1 walk and 9 strikeouts. In his last 10 games, 1-0, 1 save, 2.70 ERA. Began the season at Reading and promoted to LV May 6. Combined AA and AAA: 19 games, 2.01 ERA, 31.1 innings, 4 walks, 38 strikeouts. The 27-year-old was selected in the 7th round out of UCLA in 2007 and signed by Tim Kissner.

Player: CF Tyson Gillies, Reading. Hit .500 in 6 games (11-22) with organization-high 3 triples. Drove in 5 runs and scored 6 times. Ended the week on a 7-game hitting streak that included multi-hit games in his first 5 games. Average improved from .247 to .280. Collided with RF Jiwan James on Saturday and left after the 4th inning. The 23-year-old was acquired from Mariners in 12/6/09 trade for Cliff Lee.

Lone hit in the loss was a 4th inning double by 1B Kelly Dugan; 4 Lakewood batters were hit by pitches in the second game . . . Dugan led the club with 5 runs score, 9 hits and 2 homers while hitting .333 . . . 3B Harold Martinez, .348, 3 doubles and a club-high 6 RBI . . .
