The knuckleballer went 2-0, allowing just one run over a combined 14 1/3 innings of work in his two starts for a 0.63 ERA. Dickey had a career-best 11-strikeout performance against the Pirates to start the week with a 10-strikeout outing against the Padres to cap it off.
Dickey is the first Mets hurler to post double-digit strikeout totals in consecutive outings since three-time Cy Young-winner Pedro Martinez accomplished the feat in 2006.
As for the Player of the Week award, Dickey becomes the first Met to take home the honors this season. Last year, David Wright and Jason Bay captured NL honors in back-to-back weeks between Aug. 29 and Sept. 11.
Overall this season, Dickey -- who won eight games in 33 starts last year -- is 7-1 with a 3.06 ERA through his first 10 trips to the mound.
