Friday marked the five-year anniversary of Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun's Major League debut. He was 1-for-4 with a double, a sacrifice fly and two RBIs at San Diego on May 25, 2007.
In the five years that followe, Braun led the Majors with 1,720 total bases and 395 extra-base hits. He also ranked second in that span with 537 runs scored, third with a .566 slugging percentage and fourth with 173 home runs and 562 RBIs.
The Brewers activated former first-round Draft pick Jed Bradley from Class A Brevard County's disabled list in time for a Friday night start at Dunedin, Fla. Bradley, the second of Milwaukee's two first-round picks in last year's First-Year Player Draft, had missed time with a groin strain.
Also in the Minors, the Brewers traded Nashville catcher Paul Phillips to Toronto for cash. It was an easy transition; the Sounds were already in Las Vegas playing Toronto's top affiliate.
