Tidbits

• Left fielder Nolan Reimold (herniated disk) received his second epidural injection on Friday and is resting at home.

• Third baseman Mark Reynolds (left oblique strain) went 1-for-2 with a homer and two walks in an extended spring game Friday afternoon, and he will head -- along with outfielder Endy Chavez -- to Double-A Bowie on Saturday to start a rehab assignment. Zach Britton (left shoulder impingement) is also scheduled to make his first rehab start for Bowie in that game.

• Second baseman Brian Roberts played in a third consecutive game Friday for Double-A Bowie, going 0-for-1 with a sacrifice fly in a 5-3 loss to Altoona. Showalter said Roberts would probably take Saturday off.

• Taylor Teagarden (lower back injury) will head back to extended spring in Sarasota, Fla., while reliever Matt Lindstrom (torn right middle finger ligament) is expected to head to Sarasota to start his rehab in the next day or two.
