Giants Welcome Diamondbacks and Cubs to Town

SAN FRANCISCO, CA. - The San Francisco Giants return to AT&T Park for a seven-game homestand against the Arizona Diamondbacks, May 28-30 and the Chicago Cubs, June 1-4.

Monday, May 28 is Memorial Day. The Giants will honor and thank the men and women who have served our country throughout its history.  In partnership with Strikeouts for Troops, Operation: Care and Comfort and NCIRE (the Veterans Health Research Institute), the Giants, Bank of America and Barry Zito will recognize retired and active duty service men and women from all military branches in a special pre-game ceremony.  At the gates and throughout the park, Operation: Care and Comfort, along with volunteer employees from Bank of America, will be collecting cash donations or small items, such as travel sized toiletries, hand sanitizer, DVDs, pens, pencils, band aids, AT&T phone cards and hard candy to assemble care packages for our troops.   The Giants and MLB will also participate in the Memorial Day National Moment of Remembrance and host representatives from Disabled American Veterans.  Both the Giants and Diamondbacks will wear a commemorative 2012 Stars & Stripes cap to raise funds and awareness for Welcome Back Veterans

Tuesday, May 29, is Say Hey Tuesday as CSN Bay Area will host Chronicle Live from Willie Mays Plaza. Fans are invited to come out early and watch their favorite sports analysts. It is also LGBT Night at AT&T Park. The special event ticket package includes admission to the pre-game party in Seals Plaza from 5-7pm and a LGBT-themed Giants beanie. Partial proceeds from each special event ticket will be donated to non-profits in the LGBT community.

Wednesday, May 30, is Autism Awareness Night at AT&T Park. The Giants will partner with Autism Speaks and Giants legend Will Clark in an effort to change the future for all those who struggle with autism spectrum disorders. The special event ticket package includes a ticket to the game and a special-edition Will Clark bobblehead. Partial proceeds from each special ticket purchased will be donated directly to Autism Speaks to aid in their ongoing mission.

The Giants wrap up their homestand with a four-game series against the Chicago Cubs, June 1-4. On Friday, June 1, the Giants will be celebrating Korean Heritage Night at AT&T Park. Fans will be able to enjoy Korean cultural performances on the field prior to the game.

On Saturday, June 2, the Giants and Cubs will Turn Back the Century as they will be wearing uniforms from 1912. Join in on the fun and wear a 1912 outfit to the ballpark. Also, the Junior Giants Glove Drive presented by Bank of America will be taking place prior to the game. The first 5,000 fans who donate a glove or $10 will receive a Giants Pin. There is a special start time for the game at 4:15 p.m.

On Sunday, June 3, the first 20,000 fans will receive a Willie McCovey Statue Replica presented by Bank of America Following the game all kids 14-years and younger are invited to come run the bases.

The Giants will close out the homestand on Monday, June 4, as the first 25,000 fans will receive a MLB Network Backpack.
