DETROIT – Due to popular demand, and to help build the most diverse and competitive lineup of classic cars possible, the nomination deadline for the 2nd Annual Detroit Tigers Classic Car Show has been extended two weeks to Friday, June 8 at 5:00 PM. Fans can participate in the Detroit Tigers 2nd Annual Classic Car Show, presented by MotorCity Casino Hotel and Total Lubricants, on Saturday, July 7, 2012, as the Tigers host the Kansas City Royals at Comerica Park.
Interested car owners are asked to participate in a nomination process located online at tigers.com/carshow. In order to participate, the following vehicle requirements must be met: manufactured in 1989 or before, must be of show quality, must be street legal, must have current insurance coverage. If selected, a registration fee of $115 will apply, which includes a car show space, two tickets to the Tigers vs. Royals game, two food vouchers for use within Comerica Park, two Classic Car Show T-Shirts, and a Classic Car Show poster.
Several very special show vehicles will be on display courtesy of the GM Heritage Center, MotorCity Casino Hotel, and the Concours d’Elegance of America at St. John’s.
Nominations will continue until Friday, June 8, at which time the 100 best nominated vehicles will be finalized and owners notified of their selection for display at the 2nd Annual Classic Car Show.
