• Indians right-hander Josh Tomlin (on the 15-day disabled list with a right wrist injury) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session Tuesday. Manager Manny Acta said Tomlin "looked good" and he'll likely throw a simulated game in the next couple of days if he feels good on Wednesday. "It's probably going to be something around 50 pitches." Acta said of the simulated game. Tomlin is eligible to come off the DL on Wednesday.

• Kyle Bellows, an infielder for Double-A Akron, was named the Indians' Minor League Player of the Week for May 14-20. The 23-year-old Bellows hit .417 with three home runs and nine RBIs during the week. Bellows was the Indians' fourth-round selection in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft out of San Jose State University.

• Indians reliever Rafael Perez still isn't any closer to pitching a simulated game. Acta said Perez has thrown off the mound, but he hasn't really advanced in his throwing program. Perez hasn't pitched since April 25, and he's currently on the 15-day disabled list with a shoulder injury.
